NLT Adenosphere
1. PRODUCTS & GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 NanoSphere
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
BioSpectrum's innovative and unique technology provides
effective delivery of selected locally acting therapies
through topical application. BioSpectrum's delivery
system is significantly more effective than other local
methods, superior to traditional cosmetic delivery,
in terms of delivering a greater quantity of the active
ingredients to the site of action, and of reducing systemic
side effects.
NANO LIPO TECH (NLT)
Liposomes are microscopic spheres that spontaneously
form when certain lipids are suspended in water under
the appropriate conditions. The membranes that enclose
these spheres resemble (in appearance and function)
the biological membranes that enclose cells and constitute
their boundary or fill in inter cellular space in the
skin. The outermost layer of the skin is composed of
lipid bilayers that act as the barrier system. Liposomes
also consist of lipid bilayers that are similar in composition
to those found in the skin. Liposomes are very compatible
with skin. Nano sized liposomes can penetrate through
all thickness of skin layers featuring excellent moisturizing
and biochemical effects.
Our company produces a wide range of liposomal ingredients
of 'NLT NanoSphere' series. NanoSphere's diameter ranges
within 100 - 300 nm (proved by electron microscopy and
size analyzer studies).
APPLICATION
The use of liposome ingredients 'NanoSphere' in cosmetics
allows manufacturing highly effective and very comfortable
in use high quality functional skincare and cosmetic
products that place them among an elite group of cosmetics.
These cosmetics have a number of advantages as follows:
¢º Easy penetrate and soak into the skin
¢º Able to deliver biologically
active substances directly into deep skin
¢º Deliver moisturizing substances
directly into the skin
¢º Able to reduce an irritant action
of some components of cosmetics, e.g. retinol
¢º Biodegradable and non-toxic
¢º Carry both water and oil soluble

1.2 Adenosine
 Adenosine
is a naturally occurring nucleoside found in many cells
of the body. Adenosine receptors, as other G protein-linked
receptors, contain seven transmembrane domains, with an
intracellular carboxy terminus and an extracellular amino
terminus.
There were identified 4 types of adenosine receptors in
mammals. A1 and A3 receptors interact with G proteins
Gi and A2a and A2b with Gs. They are typically coupled
to the adenylate cyclase-cAMP signal-transduction pathway.
A1 and A3 also signal via phospolipase C (PLC) and Ca2+.
Adenosine exerts several of its actions by binding to
adenosine receptors located on the surface of vascular
and skeletal muscle cells
and it is thus in the interstitium that adenosine exerts
its action. Adenosine reduces the effect of calcium, the
main messenger of contraction, on the inside of the cell.
Adenosine drains the skin, leaving it light and smooth.
It improves an appearance of wrinkles and increases skin
smoothness.

1.3 Function
Facial skin is constantly in motion, as it naturally contracts
when frowning, laughing, or blinking, causing skin folds
to appear. This process is known as myo-aging, or skin
aging caused by facial movements. Muscle tension in the
face influences the formation of wrinkles. It is caused
by mechanical forces related to repetitive contractions
of underlying muscles attached to the dermis. Telltale
signs: Facial expression and contraction wrinkles around
the eyes ("crow's feet"), on the forehead, and
around the lips (creases). The skin is congested, becomes
heavy and forms creases. To erase these wrinkles, the
skin must be drained to decontract the fibres so that
they can regain their natural extension and thus smooth
out the skin. NLT AdenoSphere 2.0¢â targets the cause of
the problem by promoting decontraction of the skin |

2. EFFICACY STUDY

Effects of NLT AdenoSphere 2.0 on DNA synthesis. Treatment
of porcine coronary artery endothelial cells with adenosine
enhanced DNA synthesis. The lowest concentration of
NLT AdenoSphere 2.0 that significantly induced cell
growth is 0.2%: at a concentration of 2% NLT AdenoSphere
2.0 induced cell growth by approximately 55%. A maximal
mitogenic response of 60% increase in cell proliferation
was observed in response to 10 % after 4 days of treatment.
