| Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) is a small perennial herbaceous plant which
has been used for many years in Europe for wound healing. Centella asiatica
contains vallejin, a bitter principal, and a mixture of triterpenoid glycosides
? the most abundant being asiaticosides and madecassosides. These triterpenes
act on fibroblast cells to restore elastic connective tissue, reduce fibrosis
